Researchers from Budapest University of Technology and Economics are eligible to publish their papers open access with several publishers without paying APCs through the read and publish agreements of the Hungarian Electronic Information Service National Programme (EISZ). The free OA publishing option is available until the consortium reaches the quota of the agreements.

Details on the agreements as well as instructions for authors on OA publishing according to Hungarian consortium agreements are available on the website of EISZ.

The opportunity of APC-free open access publishing is available for corresponding authors from BUTE, according to the given publisher’s policy, after the submission or their articles are accepted. When you submit an article, you must name the corresponding author eligible for OA and his/her BUTE affiliation. You are recommended to use an email address ending in bme.hu. The eligibility of authors is automatically identified by the following indicators:

  • institutional email (.bme.hu)

From the conclusion of the contracts will ensure the OpenAccess publication of the articles, in the meantime we ask the patience of the research community.
